Still have to wait another week for answers. I didn’t realize Jiraiya “captured” one of Pein’s bodies. At least Shika has finally snapped some sense into Naruro…hopefully.

Eh, yet again nothing was really revealed. You’d think they’d at least figure out the code in this chapter. It seems everyone loses someone close in Naruto. Sasuke-Itachi. Naruto-Jiraya/Sasuke. Shika-Asuma. Kakashi-his father and comrades. Sakura-Sasuke. Tsunade-Jiraya. A lot of these characters are emotionally unstable, yet unrealistically strong.

So Naruto is the key, I was hoping it was going to be him. I really like Shikamaru, he and Naruto now share a bond because both of them lost their senseis and are left with responsibilties. Shikamaru sure has changed hasn’t he? I didn’t here him say troublesome once. It looks like Naruto is finally out of his slump and I hope we get somewhere next chapter. What do you think will be found in the Pain body? A small clone of Nagato controlling it from a compartment inside, just kidding (I watch too many alien movies).

I think the new chapter was….interesting, but there should be more action, rather than just codes. I’ve found that after Itachi died, the series is starting to get boring. Anyone agree?

It was ok and I thought of something about the code, but I was worng. But it might goes with the com for the fox key. Let hope there will be more next week.

still no answer to the code…decent chapter though, its one of those that leads to something bigger. There is so much emotion in these chapters, its no wonder the manga continues to amuse me (unlike the anime these days). hopefully next week they talk more about that frog key and how it can insert itself in Naruto…it’s sposed to have the kyuubi’s other chakra; that, combined with naruto’s current kyuubi energy will make him incredibly overpowered…

i hope naruto would take on shikamaru’s words and grow up already…he really needs to be a LOT stronger if he would face pain…even sasuke would kill him easily in his current skills!

shika is the man 🙂 Im glad Kishi used Shikamaru to wake Naruto up. Someone had to. Now is not the time to have Naruto mope around. Random Dude: the leaf shinobi in general are both strong and resilient. There are some exceptions to the rule, but that comes with normal teenage angst. I’m a dad of one and am intimately familiar with teenage angst, no offense to anyone on the board, lol. It’s a good lead up, and you can hear the the 1st half of the series Naruto “pumped up” theme playing in the closing frames. Like I said before, Kishi is gearing up for something special in mind.
I makes me sick though that we have to wait a whole ‘nother week until the next manga comes out 🙂

you have to keep in mind as well that Naruto lost someone very precious to him, an adult that could identify with him like no other. Jiraya watched after him, taught him and loved on him like only a grandfather only could. He spent the last almost 3 years with him, growing up and learning under his tutelage. A bond definetly grew out of that relationship. Naruto has every right to grieve, anyone does when you go through the loss of a loved one. Jiraya spent a whole lot of time with Naruto and loved him like he would have loved his very own. Naruto may be hot headed and brash, but what he’s going through isnt irrational or unstable.
Naruto is going to have a whole new motivation now, thanks to Shika’s words.
Like i said before, this series has always been about Naruto. It’s time for him to step up in a major way and do it like no one else can. Show em what youre made of man!

ok da codes: number of pages in the book that reveal a lot to naruto; who he is, parents, what he’s capable of doing, etc. once he learns all these, he’ll get serious and end up fighting pain.

Naruto, unlike Sasuke, can develop his common sense and learn that revenge is not everything in life. Hope Naruto can eventually learn about his parents.

This is Naruto’s turning point. It is when he gets stronger and smarter. I believe when Akatsuki & Eagle/ Falcom come to Konoha, Naruto is the 1 who is gonig to temporary stop the invasion and will break up sasuke in his power hunger. Sasuke’s revenge is done and should realze it.

@ Lailnae; Oh please, the only way Sasuke would win a fight with Naruto was if he suddenly had a heart attack and droped dead on the spot.
This chapter was a let down, last chapter should have covered the emotional problems, why is naruto still depressed? I think the two main problems with part two is that it’s slow, and the never ending Uchiha garbage.
P.S. The frog key will not give Naruto fox powers. Naruto’s That Jutsu isn’t controling the Nine-tail fox without going insane.

I love how he has grown up. And loved to see Kurenai pregnant.
I hope the secret code might reveal something important about Pein/Pain. I want to know more about them.
And Naruto needs to get mature. He’s getting boring.
PS: Who’s that girl who fell for Shika? Temari will kick her a$$!! Shannaro!!

Amaya, Itachi’s death was dragged out and then it got really ridiculous when they had him giving away powers by touching or shoving crows down people’s throats. It hurt the manga.
Kishimoto seems to be trying to bring the manga back into reality instead of crazy fantasy. So the chapters will be slower, but at least make sense which is better for the long run. I hope this carries over to when Sasuke goes after the 8-tails. Now Naruto will get his act together.

I think him getting that body is really important because it will help them find some things out hopefully but this way if naruto is able to beat pain it doesnt make him look stronger than j man it means naruto wasnt at the same disadvantage and i think him going from 6 to 5 will be a huge deal. what was the abilities of the one he captureed?

i think its a wasted chapter… the last chapter was about emotions about jira´s death etc. and iruka did cheer up naruto, now the same things happened like the last time , only that shika did it.. wasted chapter… who believes that naruto will vote for shikamaru as hokage pls end yout comment with an “!yo!” ^^ i´m interested if somebody else believes that shika wil become hokage (naruto only wanted the fame…)

i liked this chapter i thought it was good the code interests me alot i think that it will be pages in jirayas first book the one that naruto is named from which would make Naruto the key (well kinda). It was also awsome cause it had shikamaru in he’s my favorite character from way back when but he’s totally badass now it’s awesome

Yeah , Naruto needs to grow up if he ever wants to bring Sasuke back to the Leaf Village. I mean,is it just me or is the time-skip Naruto is as strong as the pre-time skip Sasuke? But anyways,I wonder what the code is.

Well, it is something of relief to have a chapter focusing on Naruto and the gang rather sasuke because inasmuch as I enjoy Sasuke, he has been featured in too many chapters and I believe Kishimoto should give Sasuke a break to focus more on the key. Just what is the key anyway?

Even though this is developing slowing, I’m just happy to see the development and focus on Naruto. Man, there better be an amazing revelation to the 4th Hokage and Naruto because Kishi sure is taking forever to reveal it.

It would be interesting if the code had something to do with the chapters in his books he wrote. Each number was a chapter with secret info in it.

This chapter reveals how matured Shikamaru had become. He is indeed onw of the BEST characters in Naruto. In some instances, he’s even better than Naruto, being able to think coherently at all times and act maturely. He’s certainly a better ninja than Sasuke. I really agree when Asuma told Shikamaru that he’s a good candidate for Hokage.
For the code, I still don’t know who it would help, and again, credits for Jiraiya for killing one of pein’s bodies. I wish to see more progress soon…

I think Naruto needs a great comeback, a great fight and a great win. Kakuzo was ok but not what i expected from the Naruto i know of Part 1. Sasuke in Part 2 show up later and it’s been a showoff of fights and wins with powerful dudes. I know Kishi is creating all the story to give Naruto the glory he deserves, but sincerely it’s hard to wait…

I personally thought that Sasuke vs. Itachi was the best part of the whole manga.
Kishi should do another time skip. And if he does something like Kakashi Gaiden it should be about the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist.

AHH i know it! Namikaze said to Jiraiya that his book is awesome because it tells his lifestory, how he fought and never gave up. then they talked about the name of the main charakter in this book, he wanted to name him “Naruto”, then Kushina mentions that this is a wonderful name and she wants to gave that name Naruto.
Now these “Numbers” that Jiraiya gave are pages of his book (lifestory) in which he(or in his book the main charakter of his book “Naruto”) fought the different bodys. And now Naruto knows who the bodies are and will fight them just like in this book, thats why Jiraiya said as he died “Tale of Uzumaki Naruto”, thats a good name for this book.

Wouldn’t a Gaiden about Naruto’s mom and dad be cool? You know, learning a bit about the Whirlpool Country (and why Jiraiya addressed it in the past tense (he said the former Whirlpool Country)) and how two people from completely different villages met and fell in love. It would definitely take more than six chapters unlike the Kakashi Gaiden, but maybe they could have it a part of the main series played in an extended flashback as Naruto is informed about his parents. Maybe we’ll find out if Naruto has any extended relatives. What do you guys think?

Wouldn’t it be funny if Naruto named his son after Miso ramen. That would be a nice way to start a family tradition of ramen (or food in general) based names?

These type of chapters are all about building up suspens. Just wait till the final battle. Kishimoto is a master of suspense so he wants you at the egde of your seat. Just wait there are plenty of surprises to come. SO BE PATIENT!!
I think that Naruto, Shikamaru, and Kakashi will be looking for the key in Jiraya’s apartment. Then they will stumble his book collection. Under all of Jiraya’s naughty magazines will be the “Naruto” book he showed Yodaime. Shikamaru wiil asume that is the key because it was based on some of his previous fights. Reading this Naruto will ask either Kakashi or Tsunade about why the character was named after him and that will lead to who his parents were. Then we’ll find out what will happen to Kushina. I think pein will be coming to the village also.
PS- Im not really sure we can trust that Shiho girl. It seems like she has a crush on shikamaru but all thats happen who can you trust in the ninja world. One more thing i was really getting sick of Sasuke so im glad we get to see Naruto again.
