More Naruto Sub-Licenses

Word from Anime News Network that Viz has licensed out Naruto to two more companies:
Viz Media has given Toynami a license to create 2″ to 12″ resin Naruto figurines in the form of bookends and statues. Toynami is working on development of the products now [...] with retail availability around early April. They will be starting out with limited edition statues, then 2 to 3 different bookends for manga collections and they will be considering limited edition resin statues. Retail prices will start somewhere above $40.
Viz has also licensed Naruto to Boston America for a few novelty and food products. Boston America will be creating a Naruto air freshner, due out in the middle or end of January and a Naruto chewing gum due out at the end of February. The license also covers tinned mints, energy drinks, and lipbalm and gloss.

Clash of the Ninja Up for Preorder

Just a heads up for those who like to preorder games. The North American release of Gekitou Ninja Taisen 1 under the name “Clash of the Ninja” is up for preorder on both Amazon and Gamestop. The game is scheduled to be released on Gamecube for $40 on March 14th.
March is gearing up to be a big month for Naruto merchandise. Clash of the Ninja, the first edited DVD and the CCG will all see release then.

Ninja Taisen 4 a Hit at Retailers

Continuing the good trend of selling well, the fourth in the Gekitou Ninja Taisen series was second in sales at Japanese retailers for the week ending November 27. GNT 4 sold 122,322 units. Hopefully this should bode well for 8ing continuing the series either on the Gamecube or Revolution.
