Following in the footsteps of such smash hits as Bleach: The Musical and Inu Yasha: THE MUSICAL come Naruto: THE MUSICAL! The MA (Musical Academy) group will adapt the story of Kishimoto Masashi’s Naruto to an original theatrical stage play in Japan. The debut performance will be held in Gotanda U-Port Kan’i Hoken Hall on May 4 with another show in Osaka planned for May 19th. Thanks to the Anime News Service for the information.

Perhaps Kishimoto is the truly following in the footsteps of Toriyama, they are both huge sellouts. But hey, if your doing it for the money and can still make a decent storyline, go for it. Just don’t make a musical out of your creation.
