Honestly his plan of being the force the world rallies behind has got to be the most idiotic thing I have ever heard. Machiavelli says that a prince (or this case world leader) can either be loved or feared but never hated. It doesn’t matter how strong he is with an entire world against him he will eventually fail or with no friends and absolute power and go crazy (think azula from last airbender) and the world will only collapse into more chaos and war with the death of the 5 kage and now the only two people (naruto and sasuke) who have the power to keep the world united. All his plan would do if it were to succeed is establish himself as a dictator for a short period and then cause the world to fall back into a warring states period with no effective leader to unite people beyond clan ties. All he is doing is bringing the world backwards instead of forward.

I honestly think Sasuke will underestimate Naruto’s current attack, thinking he can absorb it with his Rinnegan or stop it with a Susanoo arrow or Chidori, but whatever one he chooses will be blown to bits and the fight will end with Sasuke dying in Naruto’s arms or whatever.

@bigrigjutsu: Agreed, he basically just v told Naruto “there’s nothing you can do to beat me”, which is a villain and arch rival’s famous last words. Just think about it, how many times do you hear that in movies shortly followed by a quick defeat.

Naruto’s attack is a wind nature, and sasuke’s is lightning, maybe his attack will strengthen naruto’s and Naruto will say that he only won because they worked together or something like that

I think you’re wrong, Sasuke has been well aware of Naruto having the resource of natural energy and has verbally been edging him along that path of utilizing it. To me Sasuke seems suicidal, as if he wants Naruto to kill him and move on in a new world w/o him. Without the Uchiha and all the history that’s tied to them, it was one of the questions I

Without the Uchiha and all the history that’s tied to them, it was one of the questions I had previously back when I didn’t know or believe the series was ending. How does Sasuke intend to move forward rationally with everything he has learned and experienced based on me not believing him to truly be a villain just like I had my doubts about Itachi. Even when everything is all said and done I’ll still never be able to accept him qualifying as a villain but just sort of an anti-hero/villain.

Still, this should NOT be the ending to this series. But rather the ending to the manga and then finally move it over to the anime where I feel they’d have better time management for the progression of the story…just my thoughts
Why does anyone want to accept this as an ending? Just because it has been going on for around 15 years doesn’t mean that it is not good enough to continue to a more fitting ending.

@6: OMG I didn’t even think about that! That goes along with what #7 is thinking too! I’m guessing Sasuke, in his hate, has underestimated Naruto and inturnc forgotten that his technique will only strengthen Naruto’s current attack. Either that or Sasuke wants Naruto to kill him, but only with Naruto’s absolute best attack.

@Anon Sasuke only ever really underestimated Naruto was in pre shippuden. Sasuke is well aware of Narutos strength. I dont think Sasuke will die and if he does its not because he underestimated Naruto. I think theyll both survive and Sasuke will just wander the lands like jiraiya did and he wont really have any allegiance to any country but i think hell try to help out where he can. All while backin the village naruto is a jounin and Kakashi is the 6th hokage.
