Well if naruto was smart, then the shows wouldnt be as intertaining. Narutos stupidity makes him intertaining to watch. It wouldnt be fun if he would be a genuis because all he would do is learn techniches first try. Also he would be like invincible and win every battle in one episode. Naruto would only be like 50 episodes long.

I think Naruto mastered rasengan in a super short time because he used clones to help him form random amounts of chakra. Also in manga, after 2 and a half years he can finaly do rasengan with one hand. like Jiraiya said it takes 3 years to master.

lol, he did more that practice the rasengan for 2 and a half years. yea rasengan is form manipulation to the max, and its not as strong as raikiri, maybe chidori, but not raikiri cuz for some reason raikiri is stronger, he prolly adds more strength to it than he cud when he barely made chidori. the shadow clones didnt matter cuz he didnt use shadow clones while training on teh tree’s, he used his other hand then when he finally used it the first time he mastered it so the shadow clones didnt make a difference considering that u gain all the experience when u undo the jutsu. yondaime cudnt fuse his element w/ the rasengan bcuz the form manipulation was too high, i doubt it was he didnt have enuff time or else theyd prolly say he died b4 he cud finish it. darksharingan, what day is the 90 minute special? october th, and whered u get ur info?

um..raikiri and chidori are two different names for the same technique..it’s TRUE name is chidori, but it’s also known as raikiri because Kakashi once cut through a lightning bolt with it..Check with episode 66, I just watched that episode yesterday, lol..

Well it doesnt matter which one is better at this point because once rasengan becomes perfected by wind element, it will become way more powerful then chidori/raikiri. Also naruto alone cannot form rasengan without a clone in the episodes so far, but notice when he becomes nine tail beast form, he can do rasengan with one hand in that form and it becomes red from nine tails chakra. Naruto cant perform rasengan with one hand because he needs more practice, Jiiraiya said naruto cant form random chakra in one hand yet it probly takes 3 years, let alone maintaining it in a sphere with one hand. Also there are two types of Chidori, kakashis that is perfected by bonding it with lightning and saskue who does his regular chidori without lightning element. In the episodes Saskue does lightning bonded chidori at the final move against naruto. So kakashi uses Chidori instead of rasengan because its bonded with lightning and thus better.

i thought in chapter 321, kakashi said chidori and rasengan were BOTH just form manipulation..and also, didn’t jiraiya say that the rasengan was stronger than the chidori?..it would make sense if they’re both form manipulation techniques, and kakashi in ch.321 said that the fourth took form manipulation to the highest level, so it WOULD be stronger than chidori wouldn’t it?

Ya know, you people need to stop taking things out of context. Kakashi and Jiraya have both acknowledged rasengan as stronger than chidori. Kakashi has expressed his fear that Naruto could kill Sasuke with rasengan when they fought in the rooftop. Jiraya, albeit playfully, explicitly stated he knew a jutsu stronger than chidori (i.e. Rasengan). So stop taking things out of context and making unnecessary impositions. Chidori looks cooler than rasengan. That doesn’t mean it’s stronger. The fact is, it’s NOT stronger.
Rasengan (or whatever it’s called with an element) will be far stronger than the original rasengan or chidori.

I know, what im saying is chidori bonded with lightning is stronger than rasengan without nature manipulation. Kakashi can bond his lightning element with chidori and not rasengan so he always uses it. Also its like this-
Rasengan>chidori
Chidori lightning bonded>rasengan
Rasengan bonded with wind>chidori with lightning

naruto can do rasengan with one hand, though he can’t compress it.. i think i saw him used rasengan with one hand on one of the fillers.. and i also saw him threw it..on one of the fillers…

wow freaking seriously. i dont see the fillers coming to an end for anime. Maybe jan 1st? the new year? 2007? explosion of kakashi gaiden along with part 2?
omg. Kakashi said, naruto has to find out his own way to combine form and nature… thats gunna be like another 5 manga training. He is gunna take forever!~~that dum sea weed.

I cant wait till the next chapter..Umm i noticed Jpn. 09/13/06 Episode 200: “Working Hard on Active Duty, The Strongest Helper” …and it said ..that the episode airs 9/13…why not this week on the 6th?….and will a manga chapter come out this week or next week like the anime??? ..I love this chapter cause they “showed” Yondaime …and kakashi doing the rasengan..that..was weird..it was like a “WTF?” momment oh well i cant wait till eppy 200 even if it is a filler..and i cant wait till the next manga chapter

I was thinking on what was said in this chapter and I can conclude that the reason kakashi faild is because of the type of element he was trying to embu the rasengan with lightning. But perhapes the rasengan was created around a wind base element.
I mean when naruto uses the rasengan it looks like a minne wind storm compressed into a small ball.

Form of Chakara and Nature of Chakara are completely different. Rasengan LOOKS like a little tornado of wind, but its really just Chakara compressed. No Nature of any sort in resengan. I think if naruto fuses the form (rasengan) and his nature (wind), it would the same… I wish he learned more wind ninjutsu’s, or get a sword so he can put wind elements in it (that can cut through anything), or put wind elements into kunai’s and ninja stars (that can go through anything). He should hook up with that sand girl, with the big fan for more wind ninjutsus. Basically, i dont want naruto to have ONLY ONE ninjutsu which will be the “WIND RESANGAN”. He only knows that crap. He will be using that ninjutsu throughout many sagas… same thing over and over.

How do we know if this will perfect Rasengan? Who knows? There might be more to completing it. I wonder if Naruto can master all five elements. It would also be nice to see him as a sensei with his own squad. One more thing: I heard a rumor that Kakashi Gaiden will begin on October.

i heard kakashi gaiden will start next year. Naruto will perfect this wind rasengan in 1 hour. lol he will make 1 million clones.

Rasengan is made of chakra moving rapidly in a sphere shape, there is no hand signs its so simple although a lot of training is needed to form chakra in spheres of energy. I wouldnt consider it a jutsu since its just chakra in a shape of a sphere.

lol, @ kyubi_bluv… if he use that summoning jutsu, opponents get beat easily.. kishimoto obviously made naruto learn that technique but not quite get the hang of it so his fights would be more of a challenge and when it comes to a desperate time, he would be able to use that technique to show that he can only do it during those desperate times..
it would be really dumb if he learn a lot of jutsu in this short amount of time considering he isn’t that kind of character to start with.. and see now, when he’s learning a new jutsu or a technique, mostly everybody gets psych because it is rare for his character…

Raikiri means “Ligthning Blade” and Chidori means “One Thousand Birds”. Chidori is the nickname and Raikiri is the technical name. Look it up at Shannaro or Wikipedia.
Chidori isn’t chakra bonded with lightning, it is chakra turned into lightning.Once again look it up.
One of the main reasons Kakashi wanted Naruto to learn nature manipulation (or chakra alteration) is so he could learn how to control the range and power level.This can be seen with the fact that Sasuke used Chidori Current as an all purpose defense against Sai and Naruto or put it in his grass cutter like Asuma uses his chakra in his knuckle blades.
With the fact he can do A ranked chakra manipulation (Rasengan)and now chakra alteration, he should be able to come up with unlimited amount of techniques.

I think Kakashi came up with Chidori because of his lack of chakra, with that technique he would be able to use his chakra more efficently.
No offense to Sasuke but if can use Chidori current then so could Kakashi.We know Sasuke is at least as strong as Naruto’s One-Tailed form as long as he has the curse seal, so he wouldn’t need to be as conservative as Kakashi.

Edge or blade depends on what translation you read.Even the offical English version that is on Cartoon network has referred to it as the lightning blade. So really it doesn’t matter which name you use as long as you realize it is the same technique.

I think the Fourth didn’t finish the Rasengan is because he developed even stronger techniques that were without a doubt more effective.

I think a Rasengan Current would be cool, it wouldn’t be the first time he copied Sasuke. It would also be interesting if he could use the wind current in his giant shuriken and then of coure he could use shadow clones to make use of the technique on a grand scale.

When you think about the rasengan technich and why that fourth didnt perfect it, its clear that he probly didnt perfect it because its part of the plot that naruto perfects it, also I dont think anime would even make rasengan considered a incomplete jutsu until they just decided to make rasengan more powerful just recently.

um, raikiri and chidori are different. for some reason. look it up here, on leafninja, raikiri is S ranked and chidori is A ranked. im not really sure y i guess that kakashi puts more power behind his raikiri normally compared to sasuke’s chidori.

I understand that this debate about the Chidori and Raikiri won’t be solved, but when I put the previous comment up and you read about them here or elsewhere they are described as the same move.Even at Leafninja they are referenced to each other as the same move.The only difference is one is listed as S ranked and one is listed as A ranked.I think the power level might be involved similiar to Naruto’s Rasengan and Odama Rasengan.We won’t be sure until this is officially resolved.
