chapter 401 is so perplexing.. i like it a lot.. im wondering what will sasuke do now that he knows everything? i cant wait for the next chapter to be released…

The end of talking finally. Let’s see where Sasuke goes from here. I hope we go back to Naruto now. I also hope Sasuke doesn’t be a jackass and try to get revenge on Konoha. First he will fail and second it was his father’s fault. His father should of tried to make peace with the village elders to prove the Uchihas innocents. But he didn’t and now his children had to suffer for his mistakes. Sasuke needs to wake up. I hope Naruto punch the crap out of him.

Wow… every chapter so far changes my view about everyone. And Itachi… I would never really understand completely without reading the best “why-Itachi-kill-everyone-and-why-he-do-everything-else” fics. t-t

This is all reminiscent of Darth Vader telling Luke, “I am your father.” Maybe Madara is actually Sasuke’s Dad? Who knows.
Here’s my question: did Madara let Sasuke go and that’s why he’s just chilling out on the shoreline?
The expressions on Sasuke’s face are priceless when he gets told about how nice his brother actually is.

So Sasuke does have the Mangekyou Sharingan. and I think Sasuke is going to try somthing against Konaha know.

I still say Itachi’s not dead. I agree with the Ibb guy about Sasuke completely. Itachi is (or was, if he actually IS dead by some off chance)obviously more powerful than Sasuke, or anyone else for that matter. I don’t care how strong or how busted of a jutsu they have, Itachi’s ability to literally destroy anything he sees isn’t beatable. Even if Itachi is dead, no one beat him. He succumbed to disease. The situation is a lot like that with Kimimaro(Hell, it might have even been the same illness. They shared symptoms i.e. coughing up blood) Kimimaro was about to kill Gaara(Oh, I hate Gaara)and Lee, but apparentely he owed God his taxes. Same with Itachi. Sasuke had absolutely NO WAY to come back. Personally, I hope Orochimaru (Who is still alive within that pointless Kabuto) takes Sasuke’s body just so we don’t have to deal with him anymore.

Itachi is like WOW! LOL! He has done so much 4 his little brother! He even risked his appearance just so his brother could be the Hero…But wat is Sasuke gonna do now? I wonder? Is he gonna join up wit Naruto or still be against them? Or maybe even still be wit TEam Snake? I dont know but I hope the next Chapter comes out soon…

so itachi was disease riddened? How did he come about that? Thats kinda flimsy if you ask me. I can see him taking the medicine to stay alive and hang on to life, but there is still a question of how he contracted that disease? Anyhow, the whole point of this arch was to prove to everyone that Itachi sacrificed everything for the sake of his village and for his little brother. He even had a love interest, and terminated her as well. Would love to know more about Itachi now, but I have a feeling thats pretty much all we are going to get. I think Sasuke is going back to Konoha to get some answers from the old geezers. They are the only ones that can verify Madara’s story.

once again .. another boring chapter …the only good thing aabout this chapter was the end to that freakin cave and sasuke crying his butt out … at last!! no more uchia girl stories ..(hopefully)

The series really should be renamed to “Sasuke”. I like the little bugger and all, but that does worry me that the Uchuha’s have been the center of attention.
Did anyone else read the onemangaversion and question the “and killed his lover” tidbit about Itachi?
Oh, and what will Sasuke do now? He won’t use the Mangekyou most likely. Does it actually count as him having it? Or will he go blind? And whats this about eradicating Orochimaru? And where is Kabuto?

first of all i want to apologize… if what madara is saying is true then i am sad that itachi died, however, the only way that naruto and sasuke will ever be able to finish their fight is by fighting over konoha. naruto will fight to protect it, and sasuke will fight to avenge the death of his clan… according to him he is an avenger. i don’t want to see sasuke or naruto die but hey the story is about naruto!
oh yeah, when will we learn the real reason itachi and madara are in akatsuki?

wow so im guessing sasuke no longer has curse mark but something better that sharigan of his brother so when sasuke and itachi were fighting was itachi trying to show all the moves of that from of his sharingan so now that he gave it to sasuke he would now some of it ablities

That was such an awesome chapter. It makes me feel really sorry for Sasuke, though, because for seven years, he’s been hating his brother, and being emo and stuff, and then when he finally “kills” him, he finds out that Itachi loves him more than anyone else in the world, and died to protect him and blah blah, but still, it touched me. It touched me. Wow, now Sasuke has no point in life. Not that he did have a point before, but his lame excuse for living is gone. So I guess he’ll go kill himself now.

what do you mean boring chapter bum wash? This chapter was awesome and now i even like itachi more than i did. He is the coolest character on the show. Sasuke looked so peaceful for the first time in his life since he left naruto and them.

itachi was good that makes me happy. i still want naruto to learn some new attacks and then have a big brawl but how would sasuke win without the curse mark? who knows sasukes probably is going to try to destroy konoha

Three emotions here in this chapter…
The first is regret, that we readers didn’t realize Itachi’s intentions all along, (if all of Madara’s story is true). Why did Kishimoto created such a selfless and unpredictable character, first hated and now, deeply acknowledged?
Second, a feeling of relief, for I don’t see Sasuke seeking revenge on Konoha and fighting Naruto. It may even lead to a reunion of team 7, depending on how Sasuke would take everything that’s been said to him.
And third,tears for Itachi. He was never given a chance to be understood.
Kishimoto obviously has a lot of loose threads to fasten up because this story line is getting farther from what Naruto basically is in the beginning.
A lot of questions still need answers, but I’m certainly looking forward to the Sasuke-Naruto-Sakura reunion.
I would probably cry if that happens.
Lastly, just a possible speculation:this manga series would have another hiatus, and then the third and final chronicle begins.

I have to say this, at least I was not the only one who had teary eyes on this chapter.
If Sasuke returns to Konoha, then it would be the best chapter in this series so far…

i hate to say it, but everything Madara said made since. Itachi really was a good lier to keep Sasuke fooled. Sasuke has always been my favorite character, and it would really make me happy to see him at peace and be good again. So i hope that’s what he does.

Ok, i think some of what true but i also have a gut feeling it is not entirely true in mean come on if Madara did this to help Konaha and to insure its future then why would he have the Kyuubi attack it.
I think that Madara has been ploting the whole thing to get something

I believe very little of what Madara is saying. I mean, I can understand the bit about Itachi hating war/death because of what happened when he was a little kid, and about Itachi being ordered to eliminate the clan, but I don’t think he ever wanted to protect Sasuke, or die by Sauke’s hand.

Madara did have something to do with the kyuubi attack on konha after him and the 1st hokage fought at the valley at the end madara was mad that he got defeated using the charka from the nine tails little did he know that he could supress the nine tails charka like yamoto. being so mad he left konha after the battle and made Akatsuki and then sent the nine tails attack then naruto dad did a sealing of the nine tails in naruto belly so naruto can one day use that power. and did you guys know their are 2 nine tails and good one and a bad one. the bad on is in naruto. and the good one is sealed in a jar or something. so if some how the bad one gets out naruto can use the good one to stop him if you have any question i could probably answer them.

well i hope sasuke goes back to konoha with naruto but he will probably rejoin team hebi i don’t think he will join akatsuki anyways.
i have got to say that this long tripp down memory lane was quit boring in chapter by chapter but in the big picture it was good but please Mr kishimoto NO MORE F”’ing talk chapters.

sasuke said he’s going to destroy konoha. good luck. naruto will kill him in the end. i bet this manga will end not so happy, naruto going beserk in some bizarre 9 tail form, killing sasuke just as he repents, right infront of sakura and kakashi (maybe naruto kills them all) and naruto decides he wont become hokage and offs himself. or go back to demon country to bang that chick who wants his babies (from movie 1)

This was quite a good chapter but the next one will be better. I think that the next chapter will take in place of suigetsus battle or sasuke will go and destroy the village. It would be awsome if sasuke awoke the eternal mangekyo sharingan since itachi did give sasuke his eye jutsus. I hope it has a cool design.

to Russia: Itachi WAS a killer, he slaughtered his clan, remember? And Kishimoto let him stay that way until the end, he just didn’t make Itachi serious enough to kill his brother in battle ^^
And as many others I wonder: we know how Madara looked when he was young, but how much has he aged since his battle with Shodai?
Who was Itachis love interest?
How come Madaras ANBU-mask only had one eyehole?
Did he lose one eye in battle with Shodai or sometime between then and his return to Konoha?
Last: the suspense is building up and once again we have more questions than answers. Just the way we like it ;P

madara is mad at itachi for dying because madara needs 3 magenkyou users and the chakra of the nine tailed fox to summon his father the tengu god of darkness but itachi died on purpose so it could’nt happen but it might happen if they find another uchiha so that’s why madara didn’t kill sasuke

i like many others who have posted before want to know what happened to Naruto and the others. What happened to the message Jiraya sent with the toads. What happened to that secret scroll/key he had and this whole thing about passing it over to Naruto. I think you are going to see Naruto grow up real fast and get real serious in the coming issues. With Jiraya dead, Sasuke on the move and knowing that Jiraya’s killer is still out there, theres no more time for training Naruto, now its time to put all you know to work for you. Its time to show why this series is called Naruto, and not Sasuke.
